Oklahoma SAFE KIDS Coalition sponsors “Super Sitters” classes during Spring Break, Summer Break and Winter Break.
These classes are for novice and would-be babysitters. The one-day classes are held at Children’s Hospital of Oklahoma from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Course content includes an introduction to CPR, first aid, child safety, child development and tips in starting a babysitting business. Certificates will be awarded to participants upon successful completion of the class.
The class is open to youths 11 to 14 years old, and is limited to 25 participants. Cost is $20 and includes all materials and snacks. Participants should bring a sack lunch or lunch money.
